Sheena Eastburn is the founder and executive director of two grassroots organizations, including Show Me JUSTICE FOR ALL, where she advocates and lobbies from Washington D.C. to state capitals, working with legislators and senators for policy change and reform within the prison system. Her other grassroots organization, P.R.E.P. for Release, focuses on reentry for those directly impacted by our unjust jail and prison system.

Sheena is a criminal paralegal focused on parole packets and clemencies. She works and partners with national and local organizations fighting for effective criminal justice reform throughout the country. Additionally, she works as a keynote speaker and prison consultant who shares her personal story and experiences at universities, churches, and special events.

Karen Backues is the Director of Operations for the Missouri Nonprofit Organization Show Me JUSTICE FOR ALL. She is a staunch supporter of all individuals sexually assaulted, especially those incarcerated, and working towards putting an end to all forms of abuse as well as ending mass incarceration.

Karen is also the Co-founder of P.R.E.P., Preparing Rehabilitated Exceptional People, for release. This Missouri organization is focused on building bridges with the families of those coming home from incarceration and providing resources for the formally incarcerated.

She is a self-confessed gym rat and runner, earning both her Group Exercise Instructor Certification and her Personal Fitness Trainer Certification while incarcerated. Karen has a BA in Accounting and an MBA in Business. She is a keynote speaker and personal confidant to those who ask. Karen has shared her personal story and experience with schools, events, and related functions.
